locking and freezing trees

When you have the structure of a lineage tree correct (e.g. by using ‘Identify Tree Mitoses’, you should lock the tree (edit/lock tree).

Locking a tree keeps LEVER from changing any of the mitotic events.

When you are completely done editing a clone, including the segmentation, tracking and lineage tree, you should freeze the tree.

Freezing a tree keeps LEVER from changing any of the segmentation, tracking or lineaging results associated with that tree. NOTE – the user can still make manual edits to the tree, but the program won’t make any automatic changes.
